Downtown LA has been the venue for many protests against Donald Trump, opposing the KKK and resisting a fascist USA.
The Hollywood Reporter recently said that Oprah Winfrey’s potential presidential bid is already seeing endorsements. While President Trump previously said he didn’t think that Oprah would run, calling her “insecure”, he also tweeted that he hopes that she will run.
Meanwhile, Downtown’s undeniably powerful urban culture continues to grow, outpacing expectations. While DTLA might not be the world’s most politically influential community, it is certainly a primary center of influence for the arts, and is the heart of the entertainment industry. Rapidly attracting the movers and shakers of modern business and transportation technology industries, lofts are very popular with creative urban dwellers.
