Visitors and local downtowners can often be found patronizing the outcropping of local shopping, dining and entertainment establishments that have created the thriving, vibrant communityk during the Artwalk.

 

Downtown Los Angeles starting in 2000 began a faze called centralization, meaning bringing people back from the suburbs to the city
Prior to 2000, DTLA was considered by many to be an unsafe, destitute, and a unknown place. That has changed.
With LA live, new lofts, cafes, bars etc., life in DTLA has begun to spring back to life.

Once a month, the second Thursday of the month, the ART WALK consists of Djs, live music, food trucks, vendors, flea markets, art galleries etc. — EM

The Art Walk is held in the Old Bank District on Spring street, between 3rd and 11th street.
Walking on Spring street you can enter every Art Gallery free of charge.
