Check out these awesome lofts, new on the market! These units will go fast — may already be sold!

Originally built in 1899, the Historic Douglas Building was renovated into work/live lofts in 2005. With only 50 New York Style units in the building, The Douglas is an amazingly well-maintained building entry into owning a loft in Downtown Los Angeles. All units feature high ceilings, original hardwood and tile flooring, Poggen Pohl kitchens with stainless appliances, massive original double hung windows, central heat and AC and washer dryers in unit. This north facing open loft / one bedroom unit has a bank of massive double hung windows offering skyline views of City Hall with tons of natural light flanked by exposed original brick. A full size soaking tub, in-unit washer/dryer, central HVAC, high ceilings, window treatments and ample lighting round out modern living in the ultra cool loft building. This is a secured access building with a subterranean parking garage and one deeded and assigned spot for this unit. The Douglas is a Mills Act status building that equates to a 50-50% savings on your property taxes. Sale includes all appliances. The Douglas Building lies on the border of Downtown’s Civic Center and Historic Core neighborhoods. This quiet corner of DTLA offers quick access to Grand Central Market, Neuehouse, City Hall, Disney Concert Hall, The Broad Museum and world class dining. Walk through video available.

Neighboring The Ace Hotel, 939 S. Broadway is the epitome of effort lessliving in Downtown Los Angeles. While the former Western Costume Building maintains its iconic exterior architecture, each residence has been renovated to feature the finest modern details. Stainless steel appliances and Quartz countertops add contemporary sophistication to the loft-style, industrial chic interiors. The original, towering windows, capture abundant natural light and reveal dynamic views of Downtown Los Angeles. One- and two-bedrooms ranging from 505 to 1,227 square feet, residences feature open-concept living and boast high ceilings. Providing generous gathering spaces, the interiors showcase the perfect balance of form and function. Amenities include rooftop pool/spa, cabanas, gym, in-unit stacked laundry, and high ceilings.

Good News in the Downtown Loft Market: Spring has Sprung

This 2022 spring and summer sales picture is looking better than last year according to new data

Downtown LA real estate is making some positive improvements. According to data from Redfin, DTLA homes are selling sooner and faster than they sold in the same period last year. And more units are selling. Also, prices are down. Over the last few years, so much uncertainty froze the market. This 2022 Spring-Summer sales period is full of welcome news for buyers and sellers alike. Sellers can see a path to make a sale happen and buyers are looking forward to finding affordable lofts. The Loft Blog’s latest numbers differ significantly from Redfin’s. Take a look at the updated L.A. Loft Blog Real Estate Market Report May 2022, which shows more evidence of stagflation.

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH FROM The L.A. Loft Blog and Arroyo Insurance

One unit that LALoftBlog was listed during the slowest period appears to have found new interest from buyers and renters after going off the market due to lack of interest. See a video tour here. Congratulations to the lucky resident in the Little Tokyo Lofts! #affordablelofts #DTLA
