Los Angeles Downtown Neighborhoods Flourish With Better Shopping Options And Enhanced City Services

DTLA
Downtown Los Angeles looms over the City And Still Growing

From far off Hollywood Downtown Los Angeles rises higher and broader every year.  As the second largest city in the USA Los Angeles as a whole is decidedly metropolitan.  It is obvious that Los Angeles neighborhoods play an important role in the success of the city as a whole.  To paraphrase Jane Jacobs, “Neighborhoods and the wealth of the city”, should be our motto.  Our neighborhoods play such an important roll in our daily lives.  Downtown neighborhoods are unique and distinctive from one another.  As the Commercial core grows so do the demands of residents on their local neighborhoods.  Better streets and shopping options will make or break the popularity of a neighborhood.  Developers and The city are putting a great deal of effort into providing more and better services to support the burgeoning growth of residential lofts and condos in the Historic Core, Arts District, Little Tokyo, and other Downtown neighborhoods.  As a result living, downtown has become more and more practical and popular.  Now is a great time to explore the residential options in Downtown Los Angeles.

DTLA’S ARTS DISTRICT

The Arts District neighborhood of Downtown Los Angeles has become the center of a residential Loft boom. Two elements are driving growth. First commercial office space and retail space Like Mateo where we expect to see a boon in goods and services that will cater to residential lofts on the high-value end like Molino Lofts. Residents expect to be able to get what they need right in their neighborhood. A boom in Lofts and Condos feeds demand for retail services. Molino Lofts offers amenities that new residents in downtown have come to expect, like this enclosed patio with citywide views. Once so many residences have what they want in a loft they are also looking to get what they want from the neighborhood as well, presto! demand for the very things that drive growth.

The artist studios and lofts are still mostly under the radar, although there are many open studios and galleries. It is the murals, street art, maker co-ops and an influx of trendy eating establishments that have made the Arts District a thriving downtown neighborhood.
