Help Find the Lost Well of the Scribes – Take Part in Its Return to Downtown Los Angeles Library

Congratulations to Bisbee, AZ antique store owner Floyd Lillard for finding, saving and returning one  panel of the 3-piece bronze sculpture lost by the Downtown L.A. library more than 50 years ago. #wellofscribes #losangeles

Historic scribes and the LA Library deserve our help in remembering and honoring the skilled scribes and authors who have worked to record, educate and enlighten humanity so that we may create a better future together.  If you have information pertaining to the whereabouts of the missing artifact, please contact well@laloftblog.com

Happy Veteran’s Day in Downtown Los Angeles

Military Barracks Loft Conversion

To help celebrate and show appreciation of our brave heroes, we’re going to show how a plain building formerly used by the armed forces can be transformed into a beautiful residence. #veterans #dtla #barracks #loft

This large loft residence called Loft ESN by Ippolito Fleitz Group exemplifies an exceptional transformation of an army barracks into a spacious living space in Esslingen, Germany. An open and spacious living area with functional zones and tantalizing visual perspectives was created across 4,300 sq ft.

FIRE!  FIRE!  FIRE!   Our hearts also go out to the Los Angeles area residents who suffered losses in recent and current fires. Due to the dry air, very low humidity, Downtown had its own (thankfully non-lethal) fires at the same time.
