Yikes!! Well maybe not, but words like that seem to be popping up everywhere as kids and adults alike look forward to Halloween. In fact, according to the USA Today, adults spend more on themselves to celebrate Halloween than any other day during the year. I get that. Especially if they want to hang out with the kids to go trick or treating, or to a Halloween party of some kind. For many homeowners and home buyers though, they are truly scared. Downtown Los Angeles Apartments

Hi, I just got a new job downtown and am trying to move closer to work. I have a small dog and can afford to pay 1100/m. My credit is good and I don’t need parking or a swimming pool or anything fancy. Pretty much just a bathroom and a locking door. Do you know of any raw spaces that I could rent?  Thanks for your help!  —  Jessica

elysian-apartments

Hi Jessica,  Thank you for your email. I certainly wish that we could provide more help to renters with places for $1,100 per month. Unfortunately, the average recent Downtown lease is $2,750 and the lowest that we’ve seen in 6 months was $1,300 for 460 sq ft at 215 7TH ST #609. Our team is not aware of anything cheaper, and we are busy helping renters above the $2,800 range.  Renters at $1,100 per month will likely need to rent a place outside of Downtown and find a roommate on Craigslist or Roommates.com. Here are some more resources to help renters find a good deal on a nice loft for lease in Downtown L.A.:   #downtownlosangeles #apartments

Are There Affordable Artist Lofts in Downtown Los Angeles?

ArtLoftLA.com  #affordable #artist #lofts
It is a question that our office receives sometimes up to 100 times per day.
historic-core-lofts-lease-chapman-01-copy

Downtown LA once had a reputation for big, open spaces in raw lofts at dirt cheap prices. The prices were once dirt cheap in the 1980s because Downtown Los Angeles had fallen into blight, with Skid Row homeless, prostitutes and drug dealers had taken over.  Buildings were in disrepair, and the dirt cheap prices were for a good reason.  There were many problems and few solutions in DTLA at that time. Starving artists loved the situation because they could build works of art and create their own artist haven in the big fixer lofts. This story would change dramatically.

Today, Downtown L.A. benefits from an urban renaissance with many billions of dollars in improvements to infrastructure, metro transportation and new housing, some low income and lots of new luxury housing. While there has been a bit of moderate income housing assistance, the middle class have been largely squeezed out of Downtown LA. In fact, while assistance to homeless and enhancements to law enforcement have increased a bit, DTLA has gone up two full notches in standard of living from blight, passing up middle class, and turning into a full-fledged luxury neighborhood with average rents above $2,500 per month and average home price above $600,000. More info at www.ArtLoftLA.com.

With prices soaring, finding affordable artist lofts is more important to more people than ever before. Get a free list of affordable artist lofts for sale or lease. Fill out the online form:

Re: Eckardt lofts

Name Deani Z.
Subject Studio Apartments for Rent?
Message I cannot find residential units for lease. Do you have those?

Thank you for your question Deani!  Like most live/work industrial lofts in Downtown Los Angeles, Eckardt lofts are residential. Studio size rentals and small apartment lofts can be challenging to find in Downtown LA.  Many agents are busy with buyers, sellers and larger rentals.  The best solution to this is to upgrade your service with a paid tour such as the L.A. Loft 3-Hour Tour.  This often saves more than $500 in the first year, gives priority eckardt-santee-bldgservice so that the small loft renter is treated like a million dollar VIP buyer.  Renters can often get 3 weeks worth of searching done in three hours this way. The tour can be less or more than 3 hours depending on the needs of the renter. Those who are out of town can even rent a place without ever seeing it with the help of a Downtown specialist licensed real estate professional who can send additional pictures and videos of desired properties. This kind of extra help is included with the upgraded service. It give more access because it opens up more than twice as many amazing lofts, DTLA condos and apartments, including rentals that require a real estate agent, and rentals that agents don’t normally help with. It saves lots of time because, instead of searching through hundreds of properties that may or may not match what the renter is looking for, and worse, risk missing out on just the right rental, the upgraded service sends the renter just the available properties that match the renter’s criteria.  There is no risk because the upgrade includes a satisfaction guarantee. Get more details at http://www.LALoftTour.com and take advantage of the discount link at http://www.LATourDiscount.com.  Enjoy seeing more amazing rentals!
