In a recent article in Metro Weekly, Downtown Los Angeles reportedly wants to be the new West Hollywood. DTLA is slowly transforming into a desirable LGBT destination.

While Downtown will never be West Hollywood, and certainly does not want to be, it is a bit closer perhaps to being the new Hollywood.  Downtown has had Hollywood roots for ages, with many films and TV shows shot here daily, and with its own sizable Los Angeles Center Studios, and many celebrities having called it home since Charlie Chaplin resided and frolicked here at the turn of the century. #dtla #glbt
