DaVinci Fire: Downtown LA Apartment Goes Up In Smoke
Building #A is Still On Schedule to Open On Time
This morning, a major apartment construction project went up in flames right next to the 110 freeway. The Da Vinci Apartments building number B was to be similar to the other Italian-styled Renaissance collection of traditional apartments, Orsini and Visconti.
The fire disaster may not be much of a loss for the readers of the LA Loft Blog because the wall-to-wall carpeted apartments are decidedly unpopular among the young, hip urban professionals who prefer genuine industrial or historic lofts with concrete or hardwood floors. Some loft lovers might even feel a bit uplifted by the delay in carpet-infested Downtown apartment construction. For those who don’t mind carpet, and like Italy-inspired style and rich amenities, Da Vinci building number A is still on schedule to open on schedule.
