Apple Store Brings Adaptive Reuse Of The Historic Tower Theater In Downtown Los Angeles

Rendering of Planned Apple Store and Event Space in Tower Theater

The Tower Theatre was the place in 1927 where Angelenos first heard the wonder of “talkie” movies.  Now, the aging historic movie palace in the Los Angeles historic core will host an Apple store the tech giant says will be one of the world’s most prominent.

The tower theater was a technological wonder of its day and will be again. Apple intends to showcase the latest technology in the theater and at the same time revive the classic look of the original structure repurposed as a deluxle Apple Store.

“Most people think of our stores as the big glass boxes,” a spokesman said, but that is not entirely true. In many major cities worldwide you will find apple store inhabit historic locations. The Tower Theater will be one such location. The store will offer speaking events as well as classes when renovations are completed.
Prominent events will include talks by experts in the fields of movies, television, and music, according to an Apple spokesman.
Referring to the location as a mecca” for creating programs, by virtue of its location in Los Angeles, the hometown of all things creative.

Apple is correct in promoting the innovative and creative drive of Downtown Los Angeles.  The city core is popular with artists and innovative creative industry workers.  If that is you be on the lookout for the next available Downtown living opportunity in the Metropolitan Lofts.  Built in the same era as the tower theater you’ll find unit 414 is available now.
